should you speak to someone?

If you’re reading this, that’s a sign…

Maybe you’re sure something isn’t right or just wondering if things could be better. Either way, you’re welcome here.

We can start with a single session and move at a pace you’re comfortable with, hitting pause at any time.

I also understand that the idea of therapy itself can be daunting and seem like a sign of weakness. It’s not. Therapy is a step towards acceptance, accountability and growth.

my approach

While all therapists share similarities, here are some things I do particularly well. Think of these as my values and an indication of what you can expect.

collaboration

I see you as active participant, rather than therapy being something I do to you. This means giving you a choice in what we focus on and how we work, and always welcoming your feedback.

non-clinical

While I am evidence-based in my approach, I’ll use everyday language and strive to connect with the heart of your experience rather than slapping a diagnosis on you.
I also bring my personality in the room so expect the occasional joke and f-bomb.

transparent

Since I expect honesty from you, I offer the same in return. I’m happy to talk about my own personal experiences where it’s helpful. And if I’m unsure about something or needing to do more research, I’ll tell you.

holistic

I think about the bigger picture - which is your life outside of problems you’re facing. I understand that many factors contribute to good mental health and wellbeing.

action focused

I understand the importance of integrating insights. In other words, making sure you leave our sessions with actionable steps you can start to take.

in-person and online

I have a private counselling space at my residential address in Glen Waverly. In contrast to some clinical and cold environments, the room is rather inviting, with decorative touches intended to encourage comfort and introspection.

Alternatively, I also offer video and phone sessions, making my services accessible from anywhere. And if needed, after hours and weekend sessions can be arranged.

get in touch

I don’t expect this to be an easy decision which is why I offer free introduction calls. This isn’t a sales pitch; it’s a chance for us to make sure things feel right for both of us.
